One of the most popular techniques in scrapbooking, as well as in card making, is definitely embossing with a capital E!
There are two types of embossing: cold embossing, where embossing machines and embossing folders are needed and hot embossing, where stamps, embossing powders and a heat gun are used!
Hot embossing is very impressive that's why, today's post is dedicated to it! 😊
The ideal ink for embossing is transparent and you can choose between versamark, hero arts and distress embossing by Tim Holtz.
Choose wood coasters and make Christmas decorations ...
“Emboss” your wooden utensils, such as a box, and transform them:
After “inking” the surface you want to cover, apply a layer of embossing powder and before it dries completely, apply another one, continuing for a while with the heat gun. Finally, once again, before it dries completely, press the stamp you have chosen so that it is “engraved” on the embossed surface ....
The result is more than impressive!
3. And last but not least our favorite: try embossing calligraphy with markers!
Meets stamper’s favorite gadget, versamarker! Having two different noses (bullet and brush) and watermark ink, it can be used everywhere! From inking part of your stamp or correcting a detail while stamping, to putting your graphic character embossed in your project! It writes in a transparent ink, the imprint of which is a tone darker than your paper. And when it comes to embossing powders, it is simply the best!
Oh, this marker is so awesome!
Ideal for extra spectacular invitations or impressive thank you notes!
Save the date for next Sunday! Many inspirations are about to come!
Until then artistic kisses!
