And finally, vacation time has arrived! ... But as much as we want torelax, we also want to create! So, what should we bring along to make sure we can do it all?
1. Art Travel Kit
Let's start with the basics: a journal and a pencil 😉 !
But also...
- a black marker
- a set of watercolors, or acrylics if you wish!
- 2-3 basic brushes
- markers for drawing
- colored pencils
- baby wipes and a cotton sheet
- and finally a glass of water
2. ArtJournal Travel Kit
Here, things are a bit different since, in addition to sketches, you might want to include memorabilia, photos, and so on.
So, you’ll definitely need the basics: a journal and a marker!
- glue/double-sided tapes and scissors
- colored pencils or markers
- ephemera and several embellishments
- gesso
And definitely more material 😊 However, since we’re talking about an art journal, it’s always best to include memorabilia and various other keepsakes you’ll find on-site! Also, keep in mind that this is a suggested kit that you can customize according to your style! Not everyone uses gesso and stencils in their art journals—perhaps you prefer a more minimal approach!
3. Scrapbooking Travel Kit
The truth is that things aren’t quite so simple here 😁 because we actually need the photos to tell the story! Of course, there is the option of a portable and very compact HP printer, but if that doesn’t work for you…
...then we’d suggest creating a small kit that includes a traveler's notebook, a marker for journaling and some embellishments, such as wood veneer, stickers or washi tapes...
There, you can write your stories, experiences, and thoughts, and then add the photos when you return! This way, you'll have a mini album from your trip or vacation quickly and easily!
So, that’s what I wanted to share with you today, hoping you'll read this post sitting somewhere relaxing and having a wonderful time!
We’ll catch up again next Sunday!
Artistic kisses!
