The Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 Introductory Set is designed as a complete first step into the Warhammer 40K hobby. It includes 12 multipart push-fit miniatures: 1 Space Marine Lieutenant, 5 Intercessors, 1 Ork Nob and 5 Ork Boyz. The Space Marines are cast in blue plastic and the Orks in green plastic, with sculpted bases supplied for every miniature. You also get 6 Warhammer Colour paints in 12ml pots — Abaddon Black, Macragge Blue, Mournfang Brown, Leadbelcher, Retributor Armour and Orruk Flesh — plus a Starter Brush so you can begin painting straight away.
The box also gives you what you need to start playing. A 48-page handbook introduces the hobby and rules, while the double-sided playing mat, 3 sheets of punch-out card terrain, transparent range ruler and 6 D6 dice let you move from assembly and painting into your first games without additional gaming equipment. It is a particularly strong choice if you want to experience modelling, miniature painting and tabletop play before committing to a larger army.
