DIY projects with the collection "It’s Autumn" by Carta Bella

Autumn is here and inspiring us to get creative at home! The new collection It’s Autumn by Carta Bella is filled with warm autumnal colors, pumpkins, and cozy vibes—perfect for fall-themed projects.

Today, we’re sharing three easy yet impressive ideas for DIY home decor and mini albums, using just a few materials. These projects will add a touch of autumnal charm to your space or preserve your memories in a seasonal way!

DIY Home Decor 1: Autumn Shadow Box

A shadow box is a wonderful way to bring autumn in your life and home.

Materials needed:

• Double-sided papers & ephemera from the collection It’s Autumn

• Coordinated stickers 

• Foam tape 

• Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue (currently on sale!) or double-sided tape

Instructions:

1. Choose a shadow box (r a deep frame) and cut a background paper from the collection.

2. Create layers with the collection's decorations: journaling cards, stickers and ephemera.

3. Use a foam tape to add a 3D effect.

4. Add a quote or a tilte (i.e “Hello Autumn”) in the centre.

5. Decorate with enamel dots or other little embellishments such as real autumn leaves, pinecones, and more.

The result is eye-catching and perfect for your living room or the entrance of your home!

DIY Home Decor 2: Autumn Garland 

A garland will add cozy vibes above the fireplace, on the wall, or on a shelf.

Materials needed:

• Double-sided papers from the collection It’s Autumn

• Coordinated ephemera /  stickers 

• Cord or baker’s twine

• Foam tape & Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue

• We R Makers Evolution Mini (optional)

• Tags dies (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut 5–7 tags for the papers in this collection.

2. Decorate the tags with ephemera and stickers, which you can also adhere with foam tape for extra dimension.

3. Punch holes in the tags and thread the twine through to connect them.

4. Add phrases such as “Hello Autumn” or “Fall Vibes”.

It's simple to make but creates a striking seasonal look! Using the same idea, you can cut out leaves, stars, or other shapes by hand, and they’ll look just as beautiful. I thought of tags because they’re nice to decorate with elements from the collection!

And last but not least (!), you'll make a mini album! Autumn photos are simply magical...

DIY Mini Album: Autumn Memories

Create a small album to keep your autumn photos and favorite moments from this enchanting season, which prepares us for the upcoming winter...

Materials needed:

• Papers & journaling cards from the collection It’s Autumn

• Stickers & ephemera

• Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue or double-sided tape

• (optional) Evolution Mini for patterns and details

Instructions:

1. Create the exterior of your album using chipboard and cover it with your favourite paper from the collection - You can also choose Μπορείς επίσης να επιλέξεις a ready-made album and decorate only the cover.

2. Add journaling cards cards and space for photos on the pages.

3. Decorate with ephemera and other embellishments, such as real leaves, conert or trip tickets, and more

4. Add pockets for memorabilia (tickets, notes, etc).

The result is a mini album filled with warm tones and autumnal vibes!
