It is more than obvious that at SnP we absolutely love alcohol inks 😀!
It's pumpkin time - both in kitchen and decoration as well 😋! And although there so many ways to decorate a pumpkin, these pumpkins with alcohol inks will certainly be our favorites!
Although working with alcohol inks is a bit messy, the result always rewards you because the created patterns are unique! Something between marbling and dripping ...
So grab some fake decorative white pumpkins and let's transform them!
We need:
- white decorative pumpkins
- alcohol inks
- alcohol (in a spray bottle)
- definitely gloves and a work surface that you do not care about getting dirty, maybe a disposable plastic tablecloth 😉
- gold color (optional)
Step one:
We start by spreading a disposable plastic tablecloth on our workstation and by wearing our gloves 😊! Next, we spray our pumpkin with alcohol.
Step two:
Slowly drip the alcohol inks one by one as if they were strips ...
Start at the top with half of the colors you have chosen, and do the same from the bottom of the pumpkin.
Don't worry about the process because there really is no right or wrong with alcohol colors! Just let your artistic spirit free!
Step three:
The colors will flow to the point where there is alcohol (the substance you sprayed at the beginning 😉), so if you see white spots just spray with alcohol and add a little color! Continue spraying and adding color until you cover the whole pumpkin!
Step four:
Place the pumpkins in a clean spot on this plastic tablecloth and let them dry.
Once dry, you can paint the stems golden and even spraying a bit some parts 😊!
Alcohol inks come in a wide variety of colors, so experiment and choose the combination you like!
We advise you to choose one-color shades to avoid unpleasant color mixes 😅!
The outcome is spectacular! And you will not be disappointed if you choose shades of the same color, indeed!
