I can't believe that in about two weeks it's Christmas! It's incredible how quickly this year has passed again, but I'm excited that we've entered the happiest season of the year!
One of my favorite traditions for the past 8 years is creating an album just for December. The December Daily was an idea by Ali Edwards, an album to capture the magic of this festive month. It not only encourages us to document every day, hence the "daily," but also helps us remember what really matters.
There's nothing better than occasionally flipping through my old DD albums, an absolute treasure 💗.
Creating a DecDaily means to preserve the memories of December, but many choose to stop on Christmas Day, while others continue until Epiphany.
The goal is the same: to capture the Christmas spirit and all the festive activities both outdoors or indoors.
And this can be done whether you choose a ring album, a flipbook, a TNotebook, or wherever your Christmas inspiration leads you to...
Anfd yet I wonder: how will I fill an entire album with when some days feel like just routine? What I do is "look" for that something in each day that makes it special, magical...
Some classic ideas:
Family traditions
Favorite family holiday recipes
Lighting up the Christmas tree
Decorating the house
Favorite ornament
Favorite drink...
However, there are also some days where all you want to do is wear your pjs and eat popcorn in front of your TV... nothing festive, you might say 😋. Yes, but it’s part of your life, so THAT also goes into our album!
To get started, all you need to do is organize what you'll need... your album, papers and embellishments, stamps and inks, markers and glue or double-sided tape...
And you're ready!
So? Will you give it a try?
You still have time to start, even today!
And of course, we can't wait to see your Christmas crafts!
So that's all for this weekend!
Until next time,
Artistic kisses!
