The Aitoh Bamboo Pen - Jumbo is a natural bamboo pen designed for artists and makers who enjoy expressive line work, ink and traditional drawing tools. Unlike a metal nib pen, a bamboo pen creates a more organic mark: the line can be fine, bold, broken or textured depending on the angle, pressure and amount of ink held in the tip.

It is ideal for Sumi-E, calligraphy, ink drawing, quick sketching, handmade cards, art journals and mixed media projects. Use it with drawing inks or calligraphy inks on calligraphy paper, Japanese papers, textured papers, mixed media papers and art journal pages.

The jumbo size makes it especially useful when you want bolder marks, larger gestures and more visible ink movement. It is a simple tool, but it gives a very different result from a regular pen or a metal nib: less perfect, more alive.
