Take out acrylic paints and a canvas and let's go for an easy DIY that will decorate your home or make a very beautiful gift!
So...we'll need Americana acrylics by DecoArt, a canvas, a palette, a pencil and brushes!
Let's go!
1. We start by drawing the vase and the table with a pencil. Then, with a flat brush we will color the background, the vase and the table (we used bubblegum pink for the background, deep burgundy for the surface and lavender for the vase)
2. Then, mix a little of the lavender with white and a little with black to create highlights and shadows. Find a relative photo and study it. It will help you if you are not certain how to do it.
3. Once we complete the background, the surface and the vase, it's time to add our greenery! We start with the stems, flowers and branches. Use a liner brush with the color Mermaid tail and draw thin and long stems.
4. Next, we will add leaves to the stems and the branches. Using a Round Brush full of color, start with the tip of the brush on the canvas to create the tapered top of the leaf. Gently press the brush down to "widen" your stroke a bit, then lift it up to finish using only the tip of your brush on the canvas.
This will allow you to create a simple leaf shape with a single stroke of your brush. If you want, add some depth to your leaves by adding some lighter strokes (mix Mermaid Tail with Warm White to create light turquoise).
5. Now let's add the largest and main flowers to our flower arrangement. We recommend adding an odd number of large flowers, we actually chose three.
Create your flower shape by grouping three of the simple leaf strokes together in a fan shape to create the petals (we chose Orange Flame for our flowers 💥)

6. A second coat of color may be needed here, especially if you used lighter green for your leaves... you'll decide, throughout painting. You can also highlight the lower part of your flowers using True Red.
7. With your liner brush highlight the outline of your flowers and with a round brush and some black paint, add black dots in the centre of each flower...
8. Finally, add the final details such as small flowers, highlights and shadows before you finish it.
