1. WHAT AND WHO IS COVERED BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Scrapsnpieces is responsible for processing any personal data it collects from and about its customers through Scrapsnpieces Services. This Privacy Policy applies to all users, including those who use Scrapsnpieces Services without being registered (guests) or subscribers and those who are registered or are subscribers to Scrapsnpieces Services.

2. WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL DATA SCRAPSNPIECES COLLECTS ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS

Scrapsnpieces may collect data from and about its customers. Specifically, Scrapsnpieces collects (1) registration data, (2) public data and publications, (3) data that the customers themselves have allowed on social media to be communicated to Scrapsnpieces, and (4) activity data. However, Scrapsnpieces does not collect any financial information from a payment service provider or sensitive data related to its customers.

3. HOW SCRAPSNPIECES USES CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL DATA

The main reason Scrapsnpieces collects data about its customers is to provide them with Scrapsnpieces Services and allow them to interact with them. In addition, with the customers’ prior consent, Scrapsnpieces may send them offers, promotions and trade announcements, also based on their personal preferences and habits.

4. ON WHICH LEGAL BASIS DOES SCRAPSNPIECES PROCESS ITS COSTUMERS’ PERSONAL DATA?

Scrapsnpieces collects customers’ personal data mainly to provide them with Scrapsnpieces Services. It is also necessary to collect their personal data for purposes of compliance with legal obligations or for purposes of protecting the legitimate interests of Scrapsnpieces. Failure to provide such data will imply Scrapsnpieces’ inability to offer the customers Scrapsnpieces Services. When the customers’ personal data is collected for marketing purposes, they retain the right to refuse providing any personal information to Scrapsnpieces.

5. HOW SCRAPSNPIECES PROCESSES CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL DATA

Ensuring security of customers’ data is a priority for Scrapsnpieces. For this purpose, Scrapsnpieces has implemented every appropriate administrative, technical and physical measure aimed at protecting customers’ personal data from loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.

Scrapsnpieces may disclose customers’ personal data to service providers and national authorities, if permitted by the existing legislation.

In any case, Scrapsnpieces always make sure that there are adequate and appropriate safeguards that comply with the existing legislation for the protection of customers’ personal data.

Customers have, among other things, the right to access, supplement, update, modify and delete their personal data.

The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 has entered into force on 25 May 2018, establishing, among other things, additional rights for individuals.

Scrapsnpieces may modify or update this Privacy Policy for purposes of compliance with the existing legislation. To see when this Privacy Policy was last revised, check the date of entry into force of that Privacy Policy.

1. WHAT AND WHO IS COVERED BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Scrapsnpieces is responsible for personal data processing (e.g. information identifying a specific person, such as full name or e-mail address) collected from and for its customers through the Company Services that are processed in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy, as well as Scrapsnpieces’ Cookies Policy, applies to all users, including those who use Scrapsnpieces’ Services without having registered or subscribed to a Scrapsnpieces Service and those who have registered or are subscribers to Scrapsnpieces’ Services.

As defined in Scrapsnpieces’ Terms of Use, the Services of Scrapsnpieces are addressed to the general public, excluding children, and do not collect personal data from children under 16 years old.

2. WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL DATA SCRAPSNPIECES COLLECTS ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS

Scrapsnpieces collects: (1) registration data, during the customers’ registration or during their registration in Scrapsnpieces’ Services, (2) public data and publications that they disclose through Scrapsnpieces’ Services, (3) data that they have allowed for social media to notify Scrapsnpieces, (4) activity data when they gain access and interact with Scrapsnpieces’ Services.

Specifically, Scrapsnpieces collects the following types of data from and for its customers:

Registration data, i.e. information submitted to register for Scrapsnpieces’ Services, for instance, to create an account, post comments, receive a newsletter, or to take part in a contest. Registration information may include information such as first name, last name, e-mail address, gender, country, zip code and date of birth.
Activity data. When the customers access and interact with Scrapsnpieces’ Services, Scrapsnpieces may collect specific information about these visits. For instance, to allow connection with Scrapsnpieces’ Services, Scrapsnpieces’ servers receive and record information about their computer and its browser, including their IP address, type of browser, and other information concerning software or hardware.

If they access Scrapsnpieces’ Services from a mobile or other device, Scrapsnpieces may record a unique device ID identified by the specific device, geospatial data, or other transaction data for the specific device. Scrapsnpieces may also collect cookies and other monitoring technologies (such as browser cookies, pixels, beacons and Adobe Flash technology commonly referred to as "Flash cookies"). These technologies are used to gather and store information about the customers’ use of Scrapsnpieces’ Services, including the pages they have visited, videos or other content they have accessed, search queries they have submitted and any advertisements they have seen. Information from other sources. Scrapsnpieces may disclosure the information it collects about its customers with information from other sources, such as publicly available information about its customers’ online and offline activity from social media services and commercially available sources.

Connected services

Scrapsnpieces Services may also link to websites, including social networking sites managed by non-cooperating companies, and may provide advertisements or offer content, functionality, games, newsletters, contests, or applications developed and managed by non-connected companies. Scrapsnpieces is not responsible for any privacy practice of non-connected companies and as soon as customers leave Scrapsnpieces’ Services or click on an advertisement, they should check the relevant Privacy Policy in force.

Scrapsnpieces does not collect:

Financial information obtained from any payment service provider: in some cases, Scrapsnpieces may use an offline payment service to enable its customers to purchase a product or make payments ("Payment Service"). If customers wish to purchase a product or make a payment through a Payment Service, they will be directed to a Payment Service website. Any information they provide to that Payment Service will be subject to the Payment Service's privacy policy itself and not to Scrapsnpieces’ Privacy Policy. Scrapsnpieces has no control over and is not responsible for any use, on behalf of the Payment Service, of information gathered through any Payment Service.
Sensitive information: Scrapsnpieces asks its customers neither to send nor disclose sensitive personal information (such as social security numbers, information about racial or ethnic origin, political views, religion or other beliefs, health, any criminal background or any involvement in trade unions) in or through Scrapsnpieces’ Services or in any other way.

Cookies Functionality

Functionality Cookies "memorize" the customers’ preferences while browsing Scrapsnpieces website, so as to suggest the right products based on their needs. Functionality cookies enable customers to enjoy a personalized version of scrapsnpieces.gr and therefore help them to find easier the products they are looking for.[d2]

3. HOW SCRAPSNPIECES USES CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL DATA

Scrapsnpieces uses any personal data it collects from and in relation to its customers in order to:

a. provide them with Scrapsnpieces’ Services and Operations,

b. measure, analyze and improve these Services and Operations,

c. improve customers’ experience through Scrapsnpieces’ Services (both online and offline) by providing content that they may find relevant and interesting,

d. allow them to comment on content and participate in online games, contests or rewards programs,

e. offer customer service and answer their questions,

f. protect Scrapsnpieces’ rights and others’. For instance, there may be cases where Scrapsnpieces may use customers’ personal data, including those where according to Scrapsnpieces, in good faith, are necessary to: (i) protect, enforce or defend legal rights, security or property of Scrapsnpieces, its subsidiaries or employees, agents, contractors, licensors and suppliers (including the implementation of Scrapsnpieces agreements and terms of use), (ii) protect security, confidentiality and security of Scrapsnpieces Services’ users or the citizens, (iii) protect Scrapsnpieces, as well as other involved third parties, such as Scrapsnpieces suppliers, from fraud or for risk management purposes,

g. comply with applicable laws or legal procedures and / or respond to requests by appropriate governmental authorities,

h. complete a corporate transaction such as a proposed or actual reorganization, merge, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposal of the whole or a substantial part of Scrapsnpieces activities, assets or undertaking stocks (including any bankruptcy or related procedures). For instance, if Scrapsnpieces participates in a merger or transfer of all or a substantial part of its activities, it may disclose and transfer its customers’ personal data to the entity or entities involved in the transaction as part of that transaction,

i. enable Social Transaction - If customers sign in or link a social media service account to Scrapsnpieces Services, Scrapsnpieces may share their usernames, photos and likes, as well as their activities and comments, with others users of Scrapsnpieces Services and their friends related to their social media service. Scrapsnpieces may also share the same personal information with their social networking service provider,

j. send customers (via e-mail, SMS, phone, chat and social media), with their prior consent, offers, promotions and other commercial announcements about Scrapsnpieces’ Services,

k. send the customers, with their prior consent, commercial announcements according to their interests and needs through the communication methods mentioned earlier at (i).

Scrapsnpieces may use anonymous data or data that no longer identify its customers personally, even indirectly (e.g. statistics) for any purpose or may forward those data to third parties.

4. ON WHICH LEGAL BASIS DOES SCRAPSNPIECES PROCESS ITS COSTUMERS’ PERSONAL DATA?

Scrapsnpieces processes customers’ personal data for the purposes of:

Section 3 (a) to (f) of this Privacy Policy is necessary for the provision of the requested services and is therefore mandatory because otherwise the services could not be provided,

Section 3 (g) of this Privacy Policy is required under the existing legislation and is therefore also mandatory.

Section 3 (h) of this Privacy Policy is applied in the legitimate interest of Scrapsnpieces and its counterparties to conduct such financial activities. This interest is well-balanced with customers’ own interest, as data processing takes place within strictly necessary limits derived from such economic activities. This specific data processing activity is optional and customers may object at any time as described in Section 1 of this Privacy Policy.

On the contrary, customers’ personal data processing for the remaining purposes:

In Section 3 (i) is at the customers’ discretion, but without their consent it is impossible to link a social media service account to a Scrapsnpieces’ Service, meaning that they will have to connect to Scrapsnpieces Service using a different mechanism,

Section 3 (j) and (k) is the customers’ discretion, but without their consent it is impossible for Scrapsnpieces and / or third parties to provide them with Scrapsnpieces’ general commercial announcements and third parties’ services / products or announcements based on their interests and needs and provide them with services under the same brand name.

Customers may revoke their consent to their personal data processing for the purposes of Section 3 (i) to (k) at any time by e-mailing Scrapsnpieces at: info@scrapsnpieces.gr as described in Section 12.

5. HOW SCRAPSNPIECES PROCESSES CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL DATA

Customers’ personal data is processed by both electronic and manual means and is protected by appropriate security measures, taking into account the latest technology, implementation costs and the nature, scope, context and purpose of the processing as well as different possibilities and risk rate against the rights and freedom of individuals. More specifically, Scrapsnpieces uses the appropriate administrative, technical measures, personnel security measures, and physical measures aimed at protecting any personal data held by Scrapsnpieces from loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.

6. WHO CAN ACCESS CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL DATA

Scrapsnpieces may disclose customers’ personal data in cases described in Section 3 to the following categories of recipients located within the European Union or outside the European Union in accordance with and within the limits of the provisions of Section 7:

third party service providers who are in charge of processing activities and, when required by the existing legislation, are duly appointed as processors (e.g. cloud service providers, other group organizations, service providers serving or supporting Scrapsnpieces’ Service and therefore, for example, and without limitation, IT companies, experts, consultants and law firms resulting from possible mergers, divisions or other conversions), and
affiliated companies acting as data controllers or data processors.

7. ARE CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL DATA TRANSFERRED OVERSEAS?

Data can be transferred to countries inside and outside the European Economic Area and in particular to the United States. The European Commission recognizes that some countries outside the EEA provide adequate security level of data protection in line with EEA standards. Customers’ personal data is not transferred to countries that are not considered secure.

8. CUSTOMERS’ RIGHTS REGARDING THEIR PERSONAL DATA

Customers have the right, at any time to:

receive confirmation concerning the existence of their personal data and be informed of their content and origin, verify their accuracy and request their correction, updating or modification,
request removal, anonymization or restriction of their personal data processing that have been processed in violation of applicable law,
object to the processing, in all cases, of their personal data for legitimate reasons.

Customers may send their request to the e-mail address as described in Section 12. Information needed include their e-mail, name, address, and phone number. In their request, customers must clearly specify the information they want to access, change, update, remove, or delete.

Scrapsnpieces reminds its customers that even after their account is canceled, or if they ask Scrapsnpieces to delete their personal information, copies of certain information from their account may remain visible in cases where they have shared information on social media or other services or when the maintenance of such copies is necessary to comply with legal obligations or with legal defense. Due to cache technology, their account may not be immediately inaccessible to others. Scrapsnpieces may also keep backup information about their account on its servers for a certain time after their cancellation or removal request, in order to comply with the existing legislation.

Scrapsnpieces also provides its customers with many options regarding use and disclosure of their personal data for marketing purposes. Customers may revoke their consent regarding:

Receiving electronic announcements from Scrapsnpieces. If customers no longer wish to receive marketing-related e-mails from Scrapsnpieces, they may be excluded either by unsubscribing from its announcements or by simply changing their preference settings at their user profile if they are registered users or if they are not using the consent management tool available on Scrapsnpieces site. Customers may also send their requests to the e-mail address as described in Section 12 of this Privacy Policy. In any case, Scrapsnpieces may continue to send its customers administrative announcements regarding Scrapsnpieces’ Services.
Sharing their personal information with company affiliates or business associates for their own marketing purposes. If customers prefer not to disclose their personal information on an ongoing basis to company affiliates and / or business associates for their immediate marketing purposes, they may be excluded from this disclosure by simply changing their preference settings at their user profile if they are registered users or if they are not using the consent management tool available on Scrapsnpieces site. Customers may also send their requests to the e-mail address as described in Section 12 of this Privacy Policy.

In all of the above cases, Scrapsnpieces may contact its customers and request more information, if necessary, for the correct implementation of their request. Also, any additional rights described in Section 9 have been applicable since May 25, 2018.

9. WHAT IS VALID FROM MAY 25, 2018?

On May 25, 2018, the General Regulation on Data Protection has entered into force and the following provisions have been applied:

Retention periods that apply to customers’ personal data

Scrapsnpieces will retain customers’ data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected as described in this Privacy Policy. In any case, the following retention periods will apply to their personal data processing for purposes set out below:

Any data collected for the purposes referred in Section 3 (a to h) of this Privacy Policy are retained during Scrapsnpieces’ Service provision, plus barring periods in accordance with the existing legislation, beyond the term of Scrapsnpieces’ Service. Any data collected for the purposes as described in Section 3 (i) of this Privacy Policy is retained for any period of time required to connect to Scrapsnpieces Service via a social network, and

Any data collected for purposes as described in Section 3 (j) shall be kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes in accordance with Article 89 (1) of the General Personal Data Regulation subject to implementation of the appropriate technical and organizational measures required by this Regulation in order to safeguard the rights and freedoms of the data subjects ("Storage limitation").

Data collected for purposes as described in Section 3 (k) shall be kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes in accordance with Article 89 (1) of the General Personal Data Regulation subject to implementation of the appropriate technical and organizational measures required by this Regulation in order to safeguard the rights and freedoms of the data subjects ("Storage limitation").

At the end of the retention period, customers’ personal data will be canceled, anonymized or collected.

Additional rights

In addition to the rights as described in Section 8 of this Privacy Policy and following the implementation of the Rules for the protection of personal data, customers will also have the right, at any time, to:

Ask Scrapsnpieces to limit customers’ Personal Data processing in case:

they question their personal data accuracy until Scrapsnpieces take any necessary measures to correct or verify their accuracy,
they consider processing illegal, but they do not want Scrapsnpieces to delete their personal information,
Scrapsnpieces no longer needs their personal data for processing purposes, but customers themselves need it to create, enforce or defend legal claims, or
they have objected to the processing for reasons of legitimate interest pending verification as to whether Scrapsnpieces has compelling legitimate reasons to continue the processing procedure,
they request the deletion of their personal data without undue delay,
they receive an electronic copy of their personal data if they wish to transfer any personal data they have provided to Scrapsnpieces, either to themselves or to another provider ("data portability"), when personal data is processed automatically and the processing either (i) is based on customers’ consent or (ii) is Scrapsnpieces’ Service, and
they file a complaint to the relevant data protection supervisory authority.

10. UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Scrapsnpieces may modify or update this Privacy Policy for any reason (including, for instance, changes to applicable law and interpretations, decisions, opinions and mandates relating to that applicable law).

Customers may check the Date of Entry into Force at the top of this Privacy Policy to see when it was last revised. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be notified in advance by posting the revised Privacy Policy to Scrapsnpieces Services. Should Scrapsnpieces make significant changes to this Privacy Policy that might alter the processing procedure or extend its rights to use the personal data it has already collected from its customers, Scrapsnpieces will notify its customers and offer them the option of future use of such personal data, as may be required by applicable law.
